after much deliberation

after much deliberation we now have a name for my rep-rap Huxley it is. Michi 道 and it means path in Japanese. 
i will make a name plate for it soon, i think it will be one of the first things i try to print.

but i have gotten a few more things done on it, i now have 5 of the 6 end stops on it, i just need to make a z max endstop mount for it. i hope to try printing with it again here soon. but the last time, the extruder stepper seemed to turn too slow. i could not get much out of it. so i think i need to read up on that more. so that i know i have my settings right.

but it feels nice mot get back to making things again, i just hope i can start to print here soon.

i just have to get clever again

i am starting to get my Huxley rebuilt again, but i need to figure out how to bet the other belt clamp to work, the pieces dont line up all that well. and the bolts i have left are just  short enough to be a pain in the ass, seeing how i used all my longer ones up so i am going to have to get a little more clever again i think.

i also found that the holes for the belt clamps do not align up all that well.

but now the top mount fits allot better now though.

i also got my new endstops built too.

been busy

i am in calgary for a few days. i am trying to find a few more small parts that i would like to find, it would also make things a little less trouble to finish my build. i just hope i can find the bolts i need tomorrow.

you can see here it got a little bent and how i am trying to fix it.

after i get back from my trip i hope to get it back in working order, or at least has close to it has i can get. i am hoping to find, some more nuts and bolts in Calgary too, the smaller m3 are kinda a paint to find.

i also need to get some tape for my printing bed, i tried to get the pla to stick to it, but that was a no go, but it did stick to paper rather well.

i will post more about it later, but i think my hot end got a little too warm for the rest of the pla in the x carrage, so i am trying to remake it.

i need to think of a better name than Schroedinger

well it is up and moving now, i still need to figure out how to build the buiding platform, but i thought i would test all the hookups and steppers, and they are all working just fine. i will need to start to think of a name for it here soon, all i can think of for today is Schroedinger, (i just hope i don't need to finish that reference.)

tomorrow or sunday i will get the rest of it finished i think, but for now i am happy and excited that i am this close. shame i have to work early tomorrow again, but hey i am doing my best.

i think there are a few parts that i will remake,  and i will need to make some max endstop mounts. but those will come in time. i just hope canada post gets my last package here soon.

i am getting there, i will post some more of my progress after my work today, though its going to be a busy day, yay for big promotions. i am now starting to work on the wiring for the endstops and steppers.i hope i can get it all to work here in a few days before i go on a trip to calgary, i would like to take it with me there and show my family. 

this is a plate that i needed to get my extruder to work. the holes did not line up good enough.

i needed to make the one bolt counter sunk to make sure that it would rest flat on the extruder.

come to think about it, i hope that this has enough torque to work has a bowden extruder for my huxley

this is a very interesting material, surprisingly stiff. i got it from my local sign shop.

i will be very very eager tomorrow, my package will be here tomorrow i think. it made it to regina today  so yay, i am very excited to start building my Huxley. i wonder what i can blow up this week..lol

it is good timing too, i should have Tuesday off. i wonder if my last order from http://ultimachine.com/ will make it here tomorrow too. its going to be a long day at work tomorrow i think.

there has been some interesting conversations on the reprap forums lately. i have been picking up on a few good tips on there lately. i will do my best to put them to good use.

the other day i posted a object to www.thingiverse.com/ that i hope to be able to print out some day,

this is more of a personal challenge for myself  i may make another version of it with more detail in time but for now i like it,

a funny thing about it, was that when i first made it i forgot the settings i had for it were in mm not cm, so it was way too small at first.

but any how it has been a long time for me to get this far, so i hope that after this week i can start helping poeple out and who knows maybe i will even help this project out some more too.

yay my kit should be here in the next few days, it will come down to Canada post and Canada costumes.
i also ordered some more stuff from http://ultimachine.com/ 1lbs of pla, 3 more opto endstops, and a few other things. i think that i will need.

but i do hope they get here soon, i am eagerly looking forward to building it, i just hope that i do not run into too many issue along the way.
i will be taking allot of picture, and maybe even some video to share.
